Sunset Weddings by Elizabeth Schoell is a full service wedding planning organization which can help you plan your new beginning with a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas. A wedding planner will help find the perfect location, or if you already have one in mind, they will help grant your wishes and make the seemingly impossible, possible. They offer phenomenal ideas and festive touches to create the special flare a momentous occasion requires. Although many of the hotels will have event planners of their own, it is recommended to talk with both a wedding planner and an event planner to help make your wedding exactly how you desire.
Written in a short note to their wedding planner by a couple married in Los Cabos, they said, We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding, thank you so much for making our dreams come true. Even more poignant, a father of a bride stated, My daughter’s dream of a beautiful and romantic wedding, with simplicity and elegance, came true. You are wonderful, and will remain an endearing part of our special memory of this beautiful sunset wedding. No matter what your wedding dream might be, elaborate and extravagant or simple and elegant, there is a place in Los Cabos to make your wedding exceed your expectations.
What You’ll Need...
The bride and groom will need original birth certificates, passports, and tourist cards (the FM-T form that you both filled out before landing and had stamped on arrival). If either party is divorced, under Mexican law there must be a minimum of one year before you remarry, and you must bring the original divorce decree with you. If you are a widow or widower, there is no waiting period. Unless you are a Catholic, can prove it, and want a religious church ceremony, you will be married by a Mexican judge with a minimum of four witnesses: two for the bride and two for the groom. Local blood tests are required, performed no more than fifteen days before the wedding date; along with the full names, ages, nationalities and legal addresses of your four witnesses, so make sure they bring their passports and have their tourist cards with them. Don’t worry if you don’t have enough witnesses, your wedding planner will provide them for you if necessary. Your planner will attend to the paperwork details at the Registro Civil (Civil Registry Office). This is where you will receive a copy of your marriage certificate.
